Once bitten, twice shy

Ah, once bitten, twice shy. Once bitten, twice shy. Once hurt, twice shy. And I've got a story for you that will make you sigh, but it will definitely elevate you to new heights. I'm Queen B. Divine, and I want to say thank you for joining me.

We're in the month of the crab. And no matter when you listen to this, I always say we can hone in on energies when we tune in to energies. When it comes to astrology, I love Western astrology. I mean, there's many other types, like Vedic and Chinese astrology. There's so many different kinds. I just mentioned two of the most common ones. There are countless ways to help yourself be in tune with the universe because energy is energy is energy. We call it different names: Mom, Christ, Buddha, blah, blah, blah. But it's all the same energy, just different names and ways we can digest it.

We learn lessons in life. I'm QueenBDivine, and today we're talking about the lessons I've learned and the astrology behind them. We're in the month of Cancer, the Cancerian energy. No matter when you listen to this, remember you can always hone in on energies.

Let me tell you a story. Once upon a time, my husband and I moved to Sunderland, Ontario. It's a quaint town with a lot of old energy. One day, as we were following a stray dog, we found ourselves in front of an abandoned gas station in Sunderland. We drove up River Street and saw a cute little house that we eventually moved into in October 2009.

The people of Sunderland were very kind. Sandra, a lovely lady, often drove me around, and we shared many laughs. There was a man who used to sit in front of the church on the main River Street, always commenting on my dog, Congo, who had one blue eye and one brown eye.

Now, here's where the lesson comes in. The father of the house owner, Peter, had a dog named Foxy. Peter would often come by our property with Foxy, letting the dog roam freely. One day, Foxy snuck up on Congo while he was eating and snipped at him, scaring him. Peter laughed it off. A week later, Peter did the same thing, but this time, Congo was ready. He turned around with a Cujo-like face, scaring Foxy away.

For 15 years, Congo would always look around before eating, a behavior that stemmed from that early experience. This taught me that while you can welcome people back into your life, you need to react fiercely the second time if they repeat the same actions.

This story is about being vigilant and prepared. When you give someone a second chance, ensure you address any recurring issues immediately. In life, we often face the same problems repeatedly until we learn the lesson.

So, as we transition from Cancer energy to Leo energy, remember to nurture and nourish your roots. Thank you for listening, and remember, the universe has your back. We just have to pay attention. One love.
